Shelter in Place is an intimate portrait of exhaustion, resistance, and the flicker of resolve in the wreckage. In the grip of depression, feeling anything can become an obsession — the pursuit is the drug. Very little consideration is given to what might lie on the other side, as if it's the finish line rather than the fire to depression's frying pan.

When nerves reactivate and your heart starts beating in tune with life's emotions again, it feels like a tornado swallowed an earthquake inside a hurricane. The backdraft consumes everything — but it means you're still here, breathing.
