In Hide & Seek, a girl cloaked in heartache turns toward a moss-covered tree in a dreamlike forest, a crown of forget-me-nots nestled in her hair. Innocent. Invisible. Is she counting down or simply hiding her tears? Either way, no one’s coming to find her. But oh, how she still hopes.

This piece serves as a memorial to the ferocious screams that preceded civility and the games that didn’t end when they should have.
